
Lecturer/Senior Lecturer (Assistant Professor equivalent) in Nuclear and/or Maritime Engineering
The School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (EME) is seeking a passionate and dedicated academic to join our Mechanical Engineering discipline as a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer (Assistant Professor equivalent). This is a continuing (tenure-track) opportunity for a specialist in Nuclear Engineering and/or Maritime Engineering to contribute to world-leading research and teaching.

About the Role
In this position, you will:
- Teach and develop courses in areas such as submarine design, naval architecture, nuclear engineering, radiation detection and measurement, nuclear safety and materials, plasma/fusion science, thermal-fluids, propulsion systems and maritime engineering.
- Conduct high-quality research in collaboration with a vibrant academic team working on naval nuclear propulsion, systems engineering, hydroacoustics, experiments, modelling and simulation, hydrodynamics, and energy technologies.
- Engage with industry, government, and academic partners to drive innovation in nuclear and maritime sectors.
