Ngā kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
This role, funded by the Wood Industry Development and Education (WIDE) Trust, offers an exciting opportunity to strengthen teaching and research in Forest and Wood Engineering. You will be the academic leader for this theme within our BE(Hons) programmes, inspiring students to see forestry and wood as a dynamic career path.
You will develop and deliver specialised papers, lead engagement with the forest and wood sector, support student placements, and supervise final-year projects. A key focus will be building collaborative research partnerships, securing external funding, and driving innovation in collaboration with industry, iwi, and research institutes.
Salary will be in the range of $110,392 to $144,817 per year based on skills, knowledge and experience. This is a full-time role (37.5 hours per week), based at our Hillcrest Campus, Hamilton.
