Department of Computer Engineering, University of Texas at San Antonio
The Department of Computer Engineering at the University of Texas at San Antonio, a Carnegie R1 research university, invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Computer Architecture, starting Fall 2026. We seek outstanding candidates with demonstrated potential for excellence in research and teaching.
Research areas of interest include (but are not limited to) low-power and energy-efficient architectures, processor and SoC design, memory systems, accelerators for AI/ML and data analytics, heterogeneous and parallel systems, architecture for security and reliability, and emerging paradigms such as reconfigurable computing.

Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field by the time of appointment.
- Evidence of potential for excellence in research, as demonstrated by scholarly publications, presentations, or related accomplishments, commitment to high-quality teaching and mentoring.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in an academic community.
